Privacy Policy

The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices as they pertain to participation in advertising offers with registration forms featured on Medintro. This policy addresses the specific relationship between Medintro and the partners and clients whose products and services are featured in the registration-form advertising offers.

How is the registration form information used?

Advertising offers with registration forms require users to provide contact information (e.g., name, e-mail address, phone number, and physical address) and demographic information (e.g., gender, age, and insurance carrier). We use the information from the registration form to contact users according to their requests, and to further fulfill requests, as well as to send our users information about our website. This contact information will only be provided to the specific sponsors of offers, or providers of services that you have expressly selected. User specifically grants Medintro and selected sponsors or service providers permission to contact the user by telephone and/or email, including phone calls that use pre-recorded messages. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings (see the Choice/Opt-out section below). Demographic and profile data is also collected during registration. We use this data to tailor the user’s experience within our advertising offer portion of the site, displaying content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences. This information is occasionally shared with advertisers on an aggregate basis.

Do you ever share my personal information?

We share users’ information only with the advertising partners that the user has requested information from. From time to time, we share aggregated data regarding the users of our services (for example, information such as the percentage of our users that are diabetics, or the percentage of users who choose one type of service and then subsequently request a related service). Some of this data may include the data obtained as described in the “cookies” section, but no personally identifiable information is included in these types of statistics.

Special Cases

We may also disclose account information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating the site’s Terms of Use. The same policy applies in cases where we believe an individual may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) the rights or property of Medintro, other site users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. We may disclose or access account information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services. We may also display entity names as part of the registration process to facilitate an individual registrant’s affiliation with the correct entity.

Choice/Opt-Out

You have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at any time by contacting us. Opt out here.

Telemarketing

We may use your Personal Information to advertise, directly or indirectly, to individuals using direct mail marketing or telemarketing using telephones and cell phones. You may have your telephone number or cell phone number listed on a state or federal do not call registry. By registering and using this Site, you agree that such act constitutes a purchase, an inquiry and/or an application for purposes of the Amended Telemarketing Sales Rule, 16 CFR §310 et seq. (the “ATSR”). Notwithstanding that your telephone number may be listed on the Federal Trade Commission’s Do-Not-Call List, you have authorized us to contact you via telemarketing in accordance with the ATSR. Moreover, by registering with, or requesting information from, a third-party advertiser at or through the Website or other advertisement media made available by us (e.g., email marketing), you agree that such action shall constitute a purchase, an inquiry and/or an application with the respective third-party advertiser for purposes of the ATSR and you may be contacted via email, direct mail and/or telemarketing by such third-party advertiser in accordance with the ATSR. We may use Personal Information to provide the services you’ve requested, including services that display customized content and advertising.

How are cookies and IP address information used?

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. Your IP address is used to gather broad demographic information. We use cookies for application functions, login purposes and to deliver content on our Web site that is specific to your interests, but we do not make that information available to third parties. We do use information from cookies for marketing purposes. The cookie does not track any personal information about you, provide us with any way to contact you, or extract any information from your computer. We hope you will want the better service that cookies provide, but you may set your browser to refuse cookies. However, by doing so, you will not be able to successfully use this service.

How does Medintro work with other companies and how do these relationships affect user privacy?

Within the advertising offer sections of our websites, you may find links to the websites of our clients or partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. Certain products and services marketed through Medintro properties are made available by partner companies with which Medintro has a strategic alliance. To obtain these products and services you may be required to visit another company’s website or a site they share with Medintro. When ordering, registering for, or purchasing products or services from these partners, you will be entering into an agreement with that partner, and not with MedIntro. In these cases, this privacy policy does not apply; instead, the privacy policy of the partner providing the goods or services will apply. We urge you to read and understand our partners’ policies before entering into agreements with them. We are committed to partnering with companies that share our privacy concerns. However, we cannot control the way these partners collect or use information. If you have questions about our partners’ privacy policies or the privacy policies of these other sites, we encourage you to contact them directly. Occasionally we may share information with our sponsors and partners. We will share such information on an aggregate basis and will never reveal information about individual users of the site without consent.

How does Medintro secure registration-form advertising offer information entered by visitors?

We use industry-standard technology to keep your personal information and information you have entered into our site as secure as possible. We also have put in place privacy protection control systems designed to ensure that your personal data remain safe and private. Each and every one of our employees servicing the website is obligated to abide by this privacy policy. Employees who violate our privacy policies are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Only authorized employees servicing the website are permitted to have access to your personal information, and such access is limited by need.
